The design proposal

The landscape design proposal for this residence in Philothei aims to create an elegant Mediterranean oasis that maximizes space utilization, minimizes maintenance requirements and provides a delightful outdoor living experience. 

The plant palette

At the heart of the garden lies a carefully curated collection of Mediterranean shrubs, including the graceful Elaeagnus x ebbingei and the resilient Pistacia lentiscus. These native treasures not only thrive in the region's climate but also contribute to the garden's authentic charm, creating a sense of continuity with the surrounding environment. Colorful  perennials such as the regal Salvia Amistad, the timeless Rosa Iceberg, and the delicate Gaura lindheimeri add splashes of color and texture. Two majestic birch trees stand sentinel, planted just outside the living room door, inviting the outdoors to become an integral part of the daily narrative for the residents. As they step into their living room, a natural frame unfolds before them, framing the view with the delicate foliage and distinctive bark of these graceful birches. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these birch trees become living witnesses to the passage of time, ensuring that the garden transforms with each passing season. A thoughtfully designed pebble surface forms a picturesque corridor, guiding you through the garden with a tactile and visual delight. Approaching the pool area, a subtle transition occurs. A carefully curated subtropical mix surrounds the water's edge, creating a lush frame that seamlessly merges with the broader Mediterranean theme. To enhance the sense of privacy and seclusion, elegant Laurus Nobilis in pots line the perimeter, creating a green barrier that harmonizes with the overall design. These shrubd not only add a touch of sophistication but also provide a natural screen, ensuring a serene retreat from the outside world.
