A carefully curated ensemble of elements invites residents to embark on a sensory journey, unveiling the beauty of nature in every corner of this garden in Thrakomakedones.

Mediterranean tall shrubs are strategically positioned to create natural borders and offer a sense of seclusion and privacy, while graceful organic flows of colorful perennials, medium shrubs and ornamental grasses undulate, adding a gentle rhythm to the garden’s design. The choice of perennials brings forth an ever-changing palette of colors and textures, weaving a vibrant narrative that evolves throughout the passing seasons. A meandering path with wooden steps invites the residents to explore the garden and guide them through the lush greenery, encouraging a slow and immersive journey. As the path gracefully unfolds, it reveals a tranquil lawn area, bathed in natural  sunlight. A welcoming sitting bench, positioned beneath the cooling canopy of a Liquidambar tree invites the residents to savor the serenity of their private outdoor retreat. Known for its resplendent foliage, Liquidambar styraciflua introduces a sense of seasonal transformation, whilst the play of light and shadow beneath its branches enhances the enchanting atmosphere of the garden.

At the lower part of the garden, a carefully arranged gravel area unfolds, providing a versatile and well-draining surface. Strategically placed acer trees, with their vibrant and seasonally changing foliage, become the focal points of the gravel area. These deciduous trees introduce bursts of color, transforming the landscape with hues of red, orange, and green throughout the year. Complementing the acers, deciduous tall shrubs add layers of color and structure to the garden. Elaeagnus, with its lustrous leaves contributes to the green tapestry of the lower garden. In the shaded pockets beneath the acers and tall shrubs, a variety of shade-loving plants find their niche,

creating a diverse understorey. These plants (Dryopteris filix mas, Ajuga reptans, Iris japonica, Ophiopogon japonicum, Pittosporum tobira nana, Hosta sp., etc) thrive in the filtered sunlight, contributing to the garden’s textural diversity.
