Office Complex in Glyfada

The place

Situated on a prominent plot overviewing the crowded and busy Vouliagmenis avenue at Glyfada, this office building is designed to make a statement, reflecting the company’s dedication to offer premium services.

The aim

The creation of a space where people can gather, brainstorm and exchange ideas. A place of tranquility and relaxation for the employees of the company with continuous seasonal interest.

The design proposal

The masterplan harmoniously united the open spaces surrounding the office building, whilst at the same time highlighting their unique characteristics. At the front of the building the design concept is to create a public plaza, where various sitting areas seamlessly weave together, effortlessly blurring the boundaries between private and public space. Two large Magnolia trees are framing the sides whilst groundcover and perennial vegetation is planted in the interim planting beds to not block the glazing façade. The small pavilion, located on the west side of the plot, is surrounded by a stunning Mediterranean garden filled with vibrant perennials and native trees and shrubs. A variety of indoor plants in linear planters and pots were integrated into the interior design of the offices. Following the principles of biophilic design, the proposal living greenery, natural materials and textures providing a conducive and inspiring workplace, where people thrive.

The plant palette

The plant palette consists of a selection of Mediterranean trees (Οlea europaea, Cupressus sempervirens, Punica granatum etc), shrubs (Laurus nobilis, Spartium junceum, Elaeagnus x ebbingei), perennial plants (Artemisia Powis Castle, Lavandula dentata, Perovskia abrotanoides, Salvia nemorosa etc) and grasses (Stipa tenuissima, Pennisetum macrourum, etc) that are perfectly combined in rows and clusters to provide seasonal interest in the garden.
